Abstract :
The energy consumption of construction sector in our country is more than 1/3 of the total energy consumption, what´s more, it rockets up considerably so the energy saving and consumption control must be brought into practice. The purpose of the paper is to introduce the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) under the Kyoto Protocol into the field of building energy efficiency. According to the approved methodology, the calculation of annual carbon dioxide emission reductions is made. The carbon emission reduction can help project owners overcome financial barriers and reduce project risks. The proposed air conditioning system is using water-storage performance to realize the summer and winter energy compensation. The CO2 emission reductions during 10-year fixed credit period are reached to 121,029 tons annually, and millions of dollars will be obtained for additional fund. Though the case analysis, it is concluded that it is feasible to develop air-conditioning system by using water source heat pump along the Yangtze River areas.
