Abstract :
A new composite was synthesized by bonding Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 with BaTiO3 using a CO2 laser, Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 was the thick film (0.05 mm in thickness) and BaTiO3 was the sintered body, fabricated by the conventional method. The CO2 laser was 143 W/cm2, and the irradiation continued for 50 s. The two starting materials were bonded, and Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 was evaluated by an XRD (X-ray diffraction) analysis. The interfaces between the two ceramics were examined. Results of electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) and electric properties are discussed
