Abstract :
Several groups have proposed the use of multiwindow (usually dual window) techniques for scatter correction in SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) and conventional gamma camera imaging. The authors have developed a technique for constrained deconvolution of the primary photopeak from the observed spectrum using multiple (5-30) windows. They have tested it both with simulations and with a modified gamma camera capable of recording x, y, and E information inlist mode, which enables postprocessing of the data for scatter correction
