Abstract :
A simplified computer program for the simulation of pulse-width-modulated GTO current source inverter induction machine (PWM GTO CSI-IM) drive systems is presented. The main features of the simulation program are simplicity, accuracy, and efficiency in terms of computation time. This simulation program can be used to verify system design, to study system dynamic behavior, and to investigate steady state waveforms of the drive system. In order to simplify the simulation process, different algorithms are developed for the simulation of different sections in the drive system. Experiments on an 800 HP induction machine drive are performed to verify the simulation results
