Abstract
One of the first and most efficient uses of multimedia is education. In particular, online Web-based education is one of the most significant fields of research and development, with considerable economic interest However, the very limited, up to now, development of appropriately adapted pedagogical and teaching methodologies for the effective use of this technology hinders the further development of such systems. A possible solution would be an integrated system (adapted to the user) for the creation and distribution of online education. In this article the composition of this system is described, a different (pedagogical) approach to the design of learning objects and granularity is taken, and an alternative adaptive presentation of concepts (helping maximize the power of multimedia) is introduced. The present paper focuses on the description of the mechanism that is used, for the creation of learning objects and courses.
