Abstract
In cooperation uplink user systems, most exiting works on resource allocation focused on maximizing system throughput without considering of services and demand. We focus, in this paper, on leveraging cooperation for channel allocation. The aim is to improve the system throughput besides meeting the QoS requirements. By introducing QoS price which calculates the difference of the maximum system throughput and the practical throughput, we proposed a suboptimal heuristic algorithm utilizing virtual nodes to solve the joint channel allocation and cooperation problem. This algorithm simplifies the joint problem by allowing the consideration of only direct transmissions. Simulation results indicate that our proposed algorithm significantly outperforms the previous works in terms of both system throughput and QoS satisfaction.
