Abstract
In this paper, the frequency-domain pilot multiplexing techniques (FDPMTs) for the channel estimation in single-carrier frequency-domain equalization (SC-FDE) systems are studied. A simple but effective pilot-position estimation technique is proposed. The rigorous theoretical analysis and the Monte Carlo simulation results both show that our proposed method is more robust than other existing methods over multipath fading channels, especially when the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is low.
