Abstract :
Knowledge of call intents can help the receiver to take most appropriate action(s) for any incoming call. For ad-hoc communication requests, present call handling at receiving end is limited to caller phone number with some high level user context information like user location, presence etc. Receiver manually need to establish the call intents based on the contextual parameters, which may lead to wrong handling of calls because actual call intents may differ from the predicted ones. In this paper, we propose an assisted UI mechanism to specify call intent(s) from caller, which is used to enable enhanced caller ID for receiver.
