Abstract :
Corrective eyelid surgery is an aesthetic surgery which is done for the correction of eye changes and making a younger and refreshed look. Blepharoplasty is one of the most widespread aesthetic surgeries, which considerably improves the appearance of the person and provides a younger and refreshed look by removing excess muscle, fat and skin as well as correcting eyelid position. Developments in the application of computers and image processing software have facilitated the job of aesthetic surgeons and have opened a new perspective for them in terms of operation simulation. In blepharoplasty, surgeons need to have accurate visual information about eye and its surrounding areas. This information includes accurate biometry of the eye and a clear and transparent image of the wrinkles around the patient´s eye. To this end, a system was designed to provide the surgeon with all this information and a modified image prior to the surgery. Thus, first, eye biometry was measured and then the surgeon was provided with an accurate Image through sharpening the image using fuzzy filters in order to improve color image.
