Abstract
Control systems over wireless network can still maintain stability even with unavoidable packet loss phenomenon if the wireless link bandwidth is large enough. However the network is shared by many control systems, there is a requirement of minimizing bandwidth for each control loop. So there is a trade-off between reliability of the system and required communication bandwidth. In this paper, we propose to transmit redundant packets with the low latency configuration in IEEE 802.15.4e to cope with packet loss effect. The trade-off is studied and results give insight to the design of wireless control over IEEE 802.15.4e standard. Unstable inverted Pendulum control problem is simulated to illustrate the efficient of the method.
