Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
To investigate gas molecules´ “Beaming Effect” when passing through cylindrical tube in free molecular flow, the molecules are divided into “directly passing” ones which pass through from inlet to outlet directly and “reflective” ones which are reflected from tube inner wall to outlet or inlet, then an analytical mathematical models for the two kinds are established. Applying the math tool MATLAB, the results and figures of angular distribution from different position at orifice were calculated. The calculated results demonstrate that angular distribution not only depends on length-diameter ratio, but is also determined by distance from emission point to tube axis. Integral results at the whole orifice showed the overall angular distribution, and were compared with the results of former researchers.
