  • Abstract
In this paper we propose a new orientation and scenarios based on the convergence of UWB and cognitive radio technologies for enabling green radio. We first present some results which show the ability of cognitive radio system to operate simultaneously with licensed systems without causing harmful degradation. In a second step, we highlight some properties of UWB propagation related to interference mitigation. In the last part of this work, we propose a new scenario based on the convergence between UWB technology and cognitive radio approach for the optimization of interference control and energy consumption.
