Abstract :
In this paper a preliminary study of the impact of a pre-engineering program at Hampton University is presented. Data collected over a period of six years show that a large number of the electrical engineering students who go through the program are from this group. Data also shows that some of the students who went through the pre-engineering program graduated at the top of their class
