Abstract :
Reconstructing the morphological structure of 3D plant is the purpose of digital plant research. In the plant growth conditions, the morphological structure of plant was determined by the dynamic interaction of hybrid genetic characteristics and growth environment factors. We propose a new approach to the structural modeling of corn. In this study, we parameterized each organ of corn based on morphological structural characteristics, and using these parameters as the driven parameters of growth model to generate the 3D plant model. Although the algorithm was established on corn, it can be easily adapted to other crops such as grain sorghum and wheat.
