  • Abstract
    This paper presents a fixture design system which integrates generative and variant fixture design systems. A new approach for case base variant fixture design is proposed. An effective fixture similarity measure is introduced by combining template retrieval and nearest neighbour algorithm. Adaptation case modification method is provided. Element selection automation is realized by RBR and db-search program. A case study is presented to illustrate the issues and show the effectiveness of the presented system.
