Abstract :
The dimensional quantization levels, Fermi levels, electrons dispersion law, and electrical conductivity in PbTe/Pb1-xEu xTe quantum well structures are investigated taking into account the energy bands nonparabolicity of initial materials. The ratio of the effects of nonparabolicity and of the carrier penetration into barriers on the increase of effective masses is determined. A comparison with the respective quantities of parabolic model is also presented
