Abstract :
We present a leaky wave antenna operating at a fixed frequency in which the radiation angle is controlled by varying the electron density of a large volume plasma discharge. The plasma is generated by means of a radio-frequency source. We highlight the way we take advantage of the index gradient of the plasma in order to prevent the microwave propagation towards the RF source which could caused radiation degradation of the antenna.
