Abstract :
A PN (pseudo noise) code acquisition scheme for direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) systems is developed in this paper, which is especially suitable for the simultaneous presence of various rate data modulation and wide Doppler shift range at low signal-to-noise ratio. The technique is based on FFT and noncoherent integration, and can be implemented easily with less hardware cost. Some computer simulation results are given, which show that the technique can achieve fast PN acquisition and obtain carrier Doppler frequency estimation.
