Abstract :
The results of the research on ultrasonic vibration intensity distribution in biological tissue under treatment with an inner cavities insonator made of a piezoceramic plate built in the sidewall of a cylindrical probe. It is shown that ultrasonic (US) vibrations are mainly concentrated near the plate. The US vibration intensity on the opposite side of the probe is about (5-10%) of the value near the plate. Penetration of the vibrations into biological tissue is about 15 mm. In this case, the intensity is 2% of the intensity on the insonator-biological tissue interface.
