Abstract :
Gyro-TWT with disc-loaded waveguide as interaction structure can obtain wider bandwidth than that with smooth waveguide. However, gain of disc-loaded waveguide Gyro-TWT is lower. Loading vanes in azimuthal direction can´t widen coalescence bandwidth, but can promote device gain. In this paper, we studied a novel structure which is a waveguide loaded with both discs and vanes. Using numerical simulation method, dispersion characteristic of the TE01 mode was calculated. Effects of the structure parameters on dispersion curve were also studied.
