Abstract :
The Ostu method is one of the applied methods of image segmentation in selecting threshold automatically for its simple calculation and good adaptation. This paper describes an improved method of threshold selecting, through the gray level and gradient mapping (GGM) function. The result of simulation demonstrates that, the new algorithm described in this paper can detect the object and restrain the noise effectively. The algorithm has a widespread application prospect
