Abstract
Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS), which importance has already been widely recognized, could improve the safety and quality of clinical diagnosis and treatment. Digitized clinical guidelines play a kernel role in CDSS. Arden syntax for Medical logic modules suggested by the HL7 is the most open and mature clinical guidelines language and widely applied. However, Arden syntax only focused on the logic representation of the medical knowledge without inference functions, which embarrassed CDSS application. By interpreting medical logic modules into rule-based format defined by C Language Integrated Production System (CLIPS), this paper realizes automatic inference of medical logic modules in order to promote CDSS real practice application in clinic.
