Abstract
This paper introduces design of Colpitts LC oscillators which adopts differential topology. We get high integration density and better noise capability. In this way, A 433 MHz Colpitts differential voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) is designed based on 0.8 urn BiCMOS technology with a 3 V supply. The voltage controlled oscillators tuning range is 399.8 MHz ∼ 465.1 MHz. A phase noise of-125 dBc/Hz was measured at 100 KHz offset from a carrier frequency.
