  • Abstract
An efficient and powerful method recently developed for calculating the transmission properties of photonic crystal waveguides to design an ultra-compact optical device that combines mode coupling in parallel waveguides and Fabry-Perot effects to reduce the coupling length and create a sharp spectral response. The general approach for joining multiple PC waveguide structures can be applied to study many different optical devices and coupling problems.
