The computational load makes the direction finding algorithm, known as the signal phase matching principle based on the singular value decomposition (SPMSVD), time-consuming as a result of the procedure searching spectral apexes, especially when it estimates multi-parameters simultaneously (namely joint estimation of parameters). In order to improve the deficiencies, an immune memory based quantum clone algorithm (IMQCA) is presented to optimize the SPMSVD based on the plane array. In the IMQCA, antibodies in a population are represented by quantum bits, a quantum rotation gate strategy based on the simulated annealing (SA) are applied to accelerate the convergence of the algorithm, and the clonal operator and the immune memory unit are employed for the optimal evolution of the population. Simulation results and acoustic detection experiments of the spatial target show the proposed algorithm is effective to reduce the computational run-time of SPMSVD, and outperforms MUSIC and CBF algorithm in real-time performance.
