  • Abstract
    In this paper, a K band 4-way waveguide power divider/combiner based on 3 dB branch-waveguide coupler and E-plane dual-probe waveguide-to-microstrip power divider/combiner is proposed. The authors simulated branch-waveguide coupler and dual-probe waveguide-to-microstrip power divider/combiner respectively. There are good agreements between the experimental results and simulations. Then separate the waveguide-to-microstrip power divider/combiner from back-to-back power divider/combiner with 3 dB branch-waveguide coupler in architecture. So the individual part of waveguide-to-microstrip power divider/combiner can be replaced as a block. Measured results of this back-to-back power divider/combiner show that insertion loss is less than 1.2dB, and return loss of input port is greater than 15dB in the 19.5-21GHz band.
