Abstract
Using a case study, This work presents interactive hypertext, a tool for asynchronous interaction within the online classroom. The approach is descriptive, based mainly on the authors´ observations during two years of use of interactive hypertext. The paper describes different modes of use of interactive hypertext, some of the particular features of this tool, and some of the results of its use. Initial observations indicate that interactive hypertext increases the quantity of interaction in the online classroom, and results in interaction of a high quality.
