Abstract
This paper presents the results obtained by the authors concerning the use of multi-terminal resistive distributed microelectronic structures as voltage scaling devices in digital-to-analog converters (DAC´s). Various functional devices were synthesized in an attempt to optimize their electrical specifications and in order to determine realistic solutions. Practical results for the synthesis of voltage scaling DACs using distributed resistive microelectronic structures, characterized by moderate resolution (4 to 6 bits) but presenting high precision, high speed settling and minimum total resistance (less area) are presented
