Distance learning system for graduate student at Overseas University

We report our efforts and results of the study on the distance learning system for foreign graduate students. The system is based on the Internet and Web technology, designed for delivering the lectures and seminars given by the host university in Japan to the foreign graduate students in China. Both the learning processes of on demand-type and live-type are managed by using a learning management system (LMS). During live-type lectures, the foreign students can take the initiative in remote-controlling the angle and zooming of the video camera, which is used to record and transmit the lecturer´s presentations and the lecturer´s expression.
