Abstract
Digital holographic images can be undersampled due to the low resolution of CCD sensors. This causes the problem that only three-dimensional information of small objects can be recorded in digital holography. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes to use the robust multiframe image reconstruction technique for increasing the spatial resolution of digital holograms by combining several undersampled holographic images, considering both speckle and Gaussian noise existing in the images. The increased spatial resolution permits recording of larger objects and reduces the distance between the object and camera in digital holography. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method
