Abstract :
The presentation will begin with a critical review of established process modelling techniques. There will be a resume of modern thinking on lifecycles and processes, as espoused by IS015288. The need for understanding the requirements upon business process management, and hence process modelling, will be presented as well as the relationship between the process model and the wider context of the company management system. A process framework and metamodel will be established and there importance to successful process modelling emphasised. Finally mapping to standards and to procedures will be discussed.
