Abstract :
We proposed a simple method for fabricating high-birefringence nonlinearly chirped fiber Bragg grating by writing into a high-birefringence photosensitive tapered fiber through a linearly chirped phase mask. Its performance as PMD compensator is demonstrated experimentally.
