Abstract :
A simple resistor is usually used for testing and calibration of instruments (potentiostats) that are used for measurements of voltammetric and amperometric methods. Resistor is often placed inside of the instrument or special Faraday screen box. Therefore an electrical way from instrument to sensor is not controlled. Linear characteristics of the resistor can be disadvantage for calibration and testing of potentiostats. The simulation of output signals from electrochemical cells is a necessity in some cases. Therefore the alternative sensors TS-1 and TS-2 were developed and designed. These dummy sensors accelerate calibration and tuning of all instruments for voltammetric and amperometric measuring methods. The properties of these sensors are discussed in this paper.
