Abstract :
A hybrid error concealment method for H.264 compressed video is presented in this paper. The method can adequately exploit the spatial and temporal relativities of video sequence to adaptively select the spatial concealment or temporal concealment according to the boundary match criterion. In order to further improve the reconstructed video quality, a maximum a posteriori (MAP) estimator is then employed to post-dispose the concealed areas. The experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve excellent concealment performance with remarkably improved subjective quality of the reconstructed video
