Abstract :
This paper will look at the risks associated with belt conveyors. It will looks at conveyor injury history and analysis, guarding requirements, and emergency stop systems, and then review the risks to employees, and the risks to plant systems. This presentation will also discuss the proper training to improve safety to employees and reduce risks of belt conveyors, and then show how this training can provide a double benefit by improving worker safety while also boosting an operation´s overall efficiency.
