  • Abstract
    High performance computing (HPC) is widely applied in the academia and business community. Users can share high-performance clusters through a specified interface. But this approach cannot supply users with their private HPC platform, leading to bad isolation between users and lack of control on the hardware and software environment. In this paper, we adopt cloud computing technology to establish personal HPC platform (PerHPC) based on Eucalyptus open source software. We take ease of use, high performance, security and convenient management from users´ experience into account to build Platform as a Service (PaaS) above Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Finally, we will analyze PerHPC and Cloud infrastructure´s performance by measuring and summarizing PerHPC usage in the university to verify that this platform can satisfy users´ requirements effectively.
