Abstract :
The electric field generated by a horizontal electric dipole in the air over the surface of a two-layered region is derived by transformation of integral path for continuous-wave excitation. From the expressions, it can be clearly observed that the excited field consists of the direct wave, reflected wave, trapped surface wave and lateral wave.
