Abstract
The work considers N class-A lasers globally coupled through an external mirror grating and pairwise coupled by direct injection. Semianalytical tools are used to study the effect of different couplings on the stability of synchronization. When the phase difference φ2 ,kj of all couplings is 0 synchronization is stable. Furthermore, the paper demonstrates that the total intensity grows assimptotically as N4 for large enough N, even under parameter mismatches, due to the interplay between thethe laser nonlinearities and the coupling scheme which results in a dependence in N2 of the individual intensities.
