Abstract :
We formulate the bandwidth and routing assignment problem for virtual machine migrations with duration and downtime constraints in photonic cloud networks. Our study shows that optimal bandwidth and routing assignment can reduce network resource utilization by up to 30% at low load and up to 16% at average load while respecting migration constraints.
