Abstract
In this paper the generalised technique of the estimation of the block length adaption system, considering both error in state estimation and initial probablistic characteristics of the discrete channel, is offered. For a 2-state communication channel the adaptive algorithms with variation of the block length are considered: with the fixed period of observation (FPO) and with the estimation of correct and erroneous receptions (ECER). The result of this work shows that, using the developed technique of the estimation it is possible to make comparison of various adaptive algorithms.
