Abstract :
Rapid progress of current media technologies has brought great changes to information systems. The author has been engaged in development of several multimedia and knowledge oriented systems at the University of Library and Information Science (ULIS). This paper describes several basic aspects of these systems; a multimedia oriented environment for research and education at ULIS, a multimedia knowledge-based system, and a customizing tool for graphical user interfaces
