Abstract :
The development potential of solar energy resource, cLimatic characteristics and soil temperature conditions are various in different areas of China, which brings some difficulties in the promotion and application of solar energy-ground source heat pump (GSHP). This paper has analyzed the distribution of solar energy resource in different areas of China, as well as China´s climate and soil thermal characteristics, and the result shows that resources of solar energy are abundant in most parts of China, the annual average temperature of ground surface can be adopted as the soil initial temperature for the design of geothermal system. Experiments and simulation studies on the solar energy-GSHP project have been carried out in terms of four representative cities, and it turns out that the solar energy-GSHP system can be used in Northeast China and North China, in most parts of Northwest China and in parts of Eastern China, meanwhile it can achieve good economical and social benefit, but it is not appropriate to use the solar energy-GSHP system in some cities of Southern China such as Guangdong, Yunnan, Fujian, Hainan, etc.
