Abstract :
The fluctuation of active power filter (APF) dc side capacitor voltage affects the filter´s normal work and causes dc side over-voltage. These endanger the safety and reLiable operation of APF. Keeping APF dc side voltage at an appropriate value is an important factor to guarantee that APF has a good performance of compensation. On the basis of analyzing the dc bus voltage control principle and the Limiter nonLinear characteristics, a shunt active power filter dc bus voltage control strategy is proposed. This strategy is based on the combination of PI control and adaptive variable ampLitude Limit. According to the simulation parameters, building prototype vaLidates the algorithm. MATLAB simulation and experiment results show that this method is effective.
