Abstract
A phase calibration of a 2 by 2 phased array GPS passive antenna mounted on two ground planes was conducted in an anechoic chamber. A data acquisition system and digital signal-processing algorithm were used to analyze the measured data. One ground plane is a small circular disk. The other is a large rolled edge ground plane. The phase shifts between antenna elements was as expected from the path difference calculation. The results suggested that the small circular disk might exhibit some edge effects.
