Abstract
TopoMap revision and updating process due to rapid development in Malaysia are required to be carried out rapidly and accurately. Previous studies have shown that high resolution satellite imagery can be used to generate maps at large scale mapping. This study highlights the potential use of single high resolution IKONOS imagery for large scale mapping purposes. Rational Function model which involve the use of Rational Polynomial Coefficient (RPC) and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) to rectify the image is used. Finding from this study has shown that the planimetric accuracy for large scale mapping obtained meet the standard accuracy for large scale mapping.
