Abstract :
The performance of Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) is investigated for a 12.5 GBaud 16QAM transmission. THP is shown to reduce significantly the computational load compared with linear equalization and to eliminate the error propagation phenomenon associated with decision-feedback equalization.
