Abstract :
A resonant converter topology using nonresonant coupling between the rectifier and resonant circuits is presented. This converter has many advantages over the conventional series resonant converter, such as better control characteristics, lower component stresses, and better stability. The analysis and design of this converter are presented for both the continuous and the discontinuous conduction modes. Computer simulation results are used to verify the theoretical work.<>
