  • Abstract
Summary form only given. Asset recovery management has become a major strategic initiative at Xerox Corporation. The focus of the initiative is to incorporate asset management into the product delivery process (PDP) early to emphasize design for the environment during the initial phase of product development. As a result of this focus, training programs on design for the environment (or recycle) have been developed. The objective of the training program is to provide design tools to all product delivery teams and manufacturing resource teams to ensure compliance with all environmental requirements. The asset recycle training is divided into three levels. Level I is a general overview to develop a common understanding of asset recycling. Level II is designated as the process, and deals with the functions and roles of the asset recycle management team in the product delivery process, strategy documents, design requirements, and product assessment checklists. Level III is implementation
