Abstract
A wideband high dynamic range frequency hopping transceiver is presented for the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) project at the University of California, San Diego. The transceiver utilizes radio frequencies (RF) from 200 MHz to 3.2 GHz and provides a 78 dB maximum dynamic range. The rapid frequency hopping local oscillator (LO) is achieved by Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) and successive frequency multiplications.
