  • Abstract
An overview of the results of a six-month study conducted by the computer and electronics industry to assess the life cycle environmental impacts of a computer workstation is presented. While the task forces had hoped to conduct a traditional life cycle analysis, the lack of necessary data and the complexity of the computer workstation made such an approach impossible. As a result, the task forces concentrated on identifying issues of environmental concern and areas of significant environmental impact, as well as regulatory and competitiveness issues
